American Express was looking to make travel protection more robust for members, in addition to using the elevated level of travel protection as an acquisitions play. Marketing sophistication is one of the advantages that Allianz Partners brings to the table. I worked on the creative strategy and concept development to bring the possibilities of partnership to life.
This opportunity was unique as the focus was not about selling Allianz Travel Insurance. It was about membership—making it even more rewarding and further differentiating AMEX from other card companies. Understanding and executing in the voice and visual identity of AMEX was key to developing messaging that was authentic to the membership experience, and would deliver on the brand promise.
